2009-11-05 CERT Quarterly Training NOVEMBER 5, 2009 QUARTERLY REFRESHER TRAINING CLASS
We will be having a couple of presentations at the November Quarterly Refresher training class. First we will have Mr. Jack Franzil, Director, Department of Public Works, make a presentation before CERT members about his department. He will cover such items as equipment, vehicles and other supplies that they have on hand to deal with various incidents.
The second part of the training will be a review of incipient fire fighting and fire safety presented by Anthony Rzucidlo. Since everyone on the team has had incipient fire training, this part of the training will consist of inter-action between CERT members and Anthony. If not quite sure about this topic, take the time now to review your training manuals.
The Quarterly Refresher training will take place on Thursday, November 5, 2009 at the Caroline Kennedy Library in the Program Room. Class hours will be from 6:30 P.M. - 9:00 P.M.
2009-11-03 ELECTION DAY Polls are open from 7am-8pm. All precincts have ADA voting available.
2009-10-15 Library Book SaleDearborn Heights' Friends of the Library Annual Book Sale at the Caroline Kennedy Library. Any volunteer who assists with setting up the event will be entitled to purchase books before the official start of the event. Please contact Emmy at epeck@comcast.net for information. Dates and times for the sale are Thursday, October 15 from 10 am - 8 pm, Friday, October 16 from 10 am - 4 pm, Saturday, October 17 from 10 am - 4 pm. LOADS of great deals and titles for ever taste!
